Modified Response
Thursday, November 24th, 2005So long time ago, I read this book called ‘Mature Mind’. It says that (according to Sigmond Freud?) human response can be modified. It said that there was once an experiment. There was a dog. The dog was fed with a piece of meat. Whenever the researcher rang a bell, the dog would come and eat the meat. Next time, the researcher only rang a bell, and did not give any meat, the dog would still come. So, the dog came because the bell rang, not because it wanted to eat.
What I experienced is just about the same. It happened some time ago when I watched [V] channel. It showed video of ‘Switchfoot’ singing their song, ‘Stars’. Then, it snapped me. I heard this song on the way to the US. That brought me of the memory of my journey there. I had been listening to the song on the way to the US and back.
So, it became my memory song, sort of. Because the lyric doesn’t say anything about US or how good it is to be there. It’s just when the song plays, then my mind just starts drifting to the trip. So, I decided to download the MP3 song. Instead of successfully finding the MP3, I stumbled into this cool website which acts like a radio in which I can hear that song. Woohoo! Wanna listen to the song? Check this link out, man: http://www.radioblogclub.com/fav/0/226108/0
So, listen to the song. And remember me whenever you listen to the song. Modified response.
